Dedication to customer service does not stop with a sale, which is why PIGUET employs two highly experienced master watchmakers and jewellers whose mission is to provide our customers with impeccable maintenance of their watches and jewellery so that they remain as perfect as the day they were bought.
Your watch is a complex precision instrument, functioning 24/7, year after year, in all positions and under the widest range of conditions.
In a workshop equipped with the most up-to-date equipment and tools, our two watchmakers carry work on an average of 150 watches every month, from simply changing a battery through to a thorough overhaul including the restoration of antique components!
A mechanical overhaul should be carried out every four or five years, depending on a range of technical factors as well as on how the watch has been used and cared for. For a quartz watch, this should be every year or two depending on age and the operation of the quartz calibre.
Whether mechanical or quartz, the operation of your watch also needs intermediate checks, ideally every 1-2 years in order to guarantee its waterproofness. Being subjected to the effects of a range of external factors, the waterproof joints gradually deteriorate and need to be periodically replaced in order to guarantee your timepiece's waterproofness.
Our jewelller will take care of maintaining your jewellery by carrying out all the operations that may be necessary to ensure the long life and sparkle of your jewellery. He will take care of cleaning, polishing, rhodium plating and/or checking the setting.
With our artisan-jeweller, we design and transform your jewellery just as you wish so that it stays attractive, comfortable and easy to wear on every occasion. Finding new styles or reinterpreting the classics, we make every effort to achieve your desired effect.
We also rethread pearl necklaces.
In order to avoid any inconvenience, we recommend that you keep your documents (sales receipts, valuations and insurance certificates) separate from your watches and jewellery. For any watch or jewellery bought at PIGUET since 2004, don't hesitate to contact us for a copy of the original invoice.
We recommend that you have your watches and jewellery regularly valued in order to avoid any inconvenience in the event of loss or theft. Our professional reputation is such that we are often asked by insurance companies and private individuals to provide valuation certificates based on the current value of your watches and jewellery. These certificates are only provided on presentation of the items and are payable.
